Line Cook
Job Summary:
Responsible for preparing food to the restaurant’s specification and to set up stations for the line. The Line Cook assists the Kitchen Manager and Kitchen Supervisor with effective safety and sanitation procedures and the highest quality standards in timing, taste and presentation.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and stocking station with all necessary supplies.
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Able to produce menu items made to order and can multitask several tickets
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests
- Properly store all food, dated and rotated on a daily basis to ensure proper portion control and quality.
- Communicates between shifts and ensures adequate prep for the next shift
- Exhibits flexibility and emotional control when dealing with last minute changes and special requests
- Attends all scheduled team member meetings and training
- Maintains cleanliness and all health codes of work area
- Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations
- Complies with all Restaurant policies, procedures and standards
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends
