Catering Coordinator
The World Equestrian Center located in Ocala, Florida is searching for a Catering Coordinator to join our team!
The Catering Sales Coordinator will be responsible for providing support to the Sales and Catering Manager and Director as needed. Assists in anything from event pre-sell, event detailing, execution and follow-up.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Strong customer service ethic, embracing the World Equestrian Center mission statement with high emphasis on exceeding Clients’ expectations at all times and always providing authentic hospitality to each and every Guest.
- Meet with clients to understand their event needs and preferences.
- Provide timely and professional communication with clients throughout the planning process.
- Coordinate logistics for catering events, including set-up, service, and breakdown.
- Prepare detailed event orders, including catering timelines, staff requirements, menu details, and special requests.
- Ensure the smooth operation of all catering-related aspects during events, including managing any last-minute changes or client requests.
- Maintain accurate event records, including contracts, payment schedules, and correspondence.
- Follow up with clients after events to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback for improvement.
- Maintain relationships with clients for future event opportunities and referrals.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in hospitality management, culinary arts, or a related field is preferred.).
- Proven experience in catering, event planning, or a related customer service role.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse clients and teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and health regulations. Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite
