YOUR ROLE: THE SEAFOOD EXPERT

• Assist Customers: Help shoppers choose the freshest fish, shellfish, and seafood products.
• Maintain Presentation: Keep the seafood display clean, organized, and visually appealing.
• Expert Handling: Cut, weigh, package, and prepare seafood while following food safety protocols.
• Food Safety First: Adhere to FDA, HACCP, and health department guidelines.
• Stock & Organize: Keep the counter well-stocked and presentable.
• Customer Engagement: Offer cooking tips, recipe ideas, and seafood expertise.
• Team Collaboration: Work with the crew to ensure smooth, efficient operations.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Experience in Seafood, Meat, or Grocery Preferred: While not required, it’s a plus!
• Detail-Oriented & Efficient: You’re meticulous with seafood quality and fast on your feet.
• Customer-Centric: You enjoy engaging with shoppers and making recommendations.
• Team Player: You thrive in a collaborative, high-energy setting.
• Eager to Learn: Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting, we’ll help you master seafood skills.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship not available)
• Reliable Transportation to and from work
• Non-Slip Shoes Required (not company-provided)
• Open Availability: Nights, weekends, and holidays are a must
• Comfortable with Fresh & Raw Seafood
• Physical Stamina: Able to stand, walk, and move for extended periods
• Strength & Mobility: Lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Manual Dexterity: Skilled in using knives, scales, and packaging tools
• Temperature Adaptation: Comfortable working in hot, warm, and cold environments
• Cool, Wet Environment: Able to handle ice, water, and fresh seafood
• Smoke & Steam Exposure: Be prepared to work in areas with these conditions
• Sharp Sensory Skills: Use vision, smell, and touch to assess seafood freshness
• Clear Communication: Effectively interact with customers and team members
• Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus
