QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of experience in restaurant management (preferably in high-volume or upscale dining)
  • Proven success in leading front-of-house teams, scheduling, labor management, and cost control
  • Strong knowledge of Florida restaurant health and safety regulations
  • Familiarity with POS systems, inventory software, and compliance standards
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Must wear non-slip shoes (not provided)
  • Open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus
  • Bonus: Wine knowledge, Italian cuisine familiarity, hospitality certifications

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage daily front-of-house operations with energy, grace, and precision
  • Lead, coach, and inspire team members to deliver outstanding service
  • Proactively resolve guest concerns with professionalism and empathy
  • Collaborate closely with kitchen, market, and ownership teams
  • Oversee scheduling, labor efficiency, cost controls, and quality assurance
  • Uphold DeRomo’s reputation for excellence in every guest interaction
  • Celebrate wins, mentor team growth, and foster a culture of hospitality and respect

PHYSICAL & SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move dynamically for extended periods of time
  • Capable of bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, and reaching at all levels (above shoulders, at waist, and below waist)
  • Comfortably lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Use of step-stools or small ladders to access shelving or supplies
  • Manual dexterity for handling restaurant equipment, POS systems, and presentation tasks
  • Strong vision (near, far, color, and peripheral) for safety, plating, and cleanliness
  • Excellent hearing and verbal communication skills in busy, high-volume settings
  • Tolerance for exposure to steam, smoke, and food preparation environments
  • Comfortable working in hot, cold, humid, and tight conditions
  • Ability to work around fresh, raw, and common allergens (e.g., dairy, nuts, gluten)
  • Good balance, coordination, and stamina to navigate a fast-paced restaurant floor
