Food and Beverage Manager | Yellow Pony

The Food & Beverage Manager at Yellow Pony Pub & Garden is responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional guest experience, maintaining high standards of quality and service, and leading a dynamic team in a vibrant, entertainment-driven environment. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee daily operations of the pub and garden, including bar and dining services. 
  • Lead, train, and schedule front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction. 
  • Collaborate with culinary and bar teams to develop seasonal menus and beverage offerings. 
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships for food, beverages, and supplies. 
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations. 
  • Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue growth. 
  • Coordinate with marketing and events teams to support live entertainment and special events. 
  • Uphold the brand’s commitment to quality, hospitality, and community engagement.

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift). 
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and lifting of items up to 25–50 lbs (e.g., kegs, boxes, supplies). 
  • Manual dexterity for handling bar tools, POS systems, and kitchen equipment. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with loud music and varying lighting conditions. 
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in person and over the phone. 
  • Occasional exposure to outdoor elements during garden or patio service. 

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities: 

  • 3–5 years of experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a high-volume or upscale casual setting. 
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills. 
  • Knowledge of craft cocktails, beer, wine, and pub-style cuisine. 
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities. 
  • Proficiency in POS systems and inventory management software. 
  • ServSafe and/or TIPS certification preferred.
