The World Equestrian Center – Ocala is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Kitchen Supervisor to support the culinary leadership at Genievieve’s; our elegant Italian dining concept located within the prestigious Equestrian Manor. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with strong leadership abilities, a passion for Italian cuisine, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of kitchen operations.
As Kitchen Supervisor, you will assist in overseeing daily back-of-house operations, ensuring consistency in food quality, safety, and team performance. Your role will be instrumental in upholding the World Equestrian Center’s core values of Quality, Class, and Distinction.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in managing daily kitchen operations with precision and professionalism.
- Supervise kitchen staff to ensure adherence to recipes, portioning, and presentation standards.
- Monitor food preparation and production to maintain consistency and quality.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, including prep stations, storage, and equipment.
- Train and mentor kitchen team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Assist in scheduling and labor management to meet business needs and budgetary goals.
- Support the execution of private dining events, seasonal menus, and special occasions.
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house and culinary teams to ensure smooth service flow.

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods during kitchen operations.
- Comfortable lifting and transporting kitchen equipment, food items, and supplies (up to 50 pounds).

- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a supervisory role within an upscale or fine dining kitchen.
- Strong understanding of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen operations.
- Exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
- Professional appearance and refined demeanor.
- ServSafe Certification required.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Experience with Italian cuisine and private event execution preferred.
