The beautiful Sundial Beach Resort & Spa located on tropical Sanibel Island, Florida, is seeking an experienced Bartender to join our fabulous Food & Beverage team. As a resort bartender with the Sundial, you will be expected to create an exceptional dining and entertainment experience for all of our guests by providing outstanding and timely service in a fun atmosphere, encouraging return visits. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintains a guest focus while performing duties
• Welcome and greet guests
• Complies with liquor pour standards as set by Food & Beverage Director
• Inform guests of any food and beverage specials
• Recommends specific beverage, appetizer, entrée, and desserts
• Knowledgeable and able to answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant and resort functions and services
• Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in point-of-sale system
• Prepare beverages for guests and servers in a timely and accurate manner
• Keep bar in clean and neat condition at all times
• Perform side work during each shift as required by service station assignment
• Complete opening and closing side work
• Maintain clean and stocked service and dining areas
• Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and beverage service
• Respond promptly and courteously to any requests
• Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, and process through the POS system
• Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
• Notify manager-on-duty any time a guest is not 100% satisfied with their experience
• Have complete knowledge of all policies, standards and procedures of the department
• Be familiar with resort services, amenities, and outlets
• Maintains cleanliness and all health codes of work area
• Available to work outside of customary work schedule. This may include evenings, overnight, weekends and holidays
• Adherence to all safety rules and regulations Compliance with all resort policies and procedures and described and communicated by management

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must have in depth knowledge of wine and cocktails
• Minimum 1-year previous bartending experience
• Must be able to understand and write English
• Attention to detail
• Safe Serve Certification
• Alcohol Compliance certified
• Report for work in a well-groomed manner, uniform that to standard, name tag on
